The Water Resources Division (WRD) is one of the research divisions at KISR. Its main focus is to:
- Ensure optimum utilization and conservation of the available water resources
- Reduce the production and exploitation costs of desalinated water and treated wastewater
- Replenish the water resource base
- Improve the reliability and economics of existing water desalination systems
- Protect water resources from environmental hazards
- Increase the efficiency and productivity of the water sector through Public Sector - Private Sector Partnership.
