Water Kuwait maintains standard research facilities for water and wastewater projects and a number of unique facilities designed and manufactured specifically for state-of-the-art studies of desalination and wastewater technologies. These facilities are located both at KISR’s headquarters and KISR’s premises at Doha and Sulaibiya. They include:
Hydrology and Water Management
• GeoProbe research vehicle for collection of soil samples up to a depth of 30 m
• Water sampling truck
• Hydro-chemical Laboratory for full analysis of water and soil, with Autoclave, Automatic BOD analyzer, Incubator, Spectrophotometer, Spectrofluorophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, and TOC Auto Analyzer.
• Physical Modelling Laboratory for groundwater treatment technologies and physical modelling
• Soil Laboratory
• Geographical Information System unit with hydrological base for Kuwait, including groundwater models
• Numerical models
